The new emerging Menstruality professional field is full of opportunity and potential. And we’re incredibly excited to offer a field of study and collaborative inquiry which will further equip you to be a leader in the menstruality movement over the coming decades—whatever that looks like for you.
The menstruality postgraduate programme is a multi-year apprenticeship in which you can choose the learning options that suit you, your pace and your needs.
The postgraduate pathway leads towards the professional skills needed to work as a Menstruality Facilitator within the Menstruality field itself or within any other professional field of work.
When we (Alexandra and Sjanie) had our Big Bleed for Red School on the winter solstice last year our attention was drawn to an inevitable ending that we are facing in our partnership.
With Alexandra making bold strides into her 70’s and Sjanie moving through menopause over the coming decade, it dawned on us that continuing to work in the way we have been has an expiry date. And that got us thinking about us stepping back and passing on the legacy of our menstruality work to others who will continue it beyond our lifetimes.
And, now we want to invite you into a next level of learning with us—an apprenticeship—in which we can pass on more of the fullness, depth and singularity of our unique approach with Menstruality.

A co-created, peer supported menstruality community to deepen your attunement to your cyclicity (no matter where you are in your cycle or menopause journey) and develop your menstruality professional skills. This is a not-for-profit community, guided by Ruby May and a team of Fire Keepers.

A five day residential retreat in the UK. To explore Menstruality as a community, through working with the emergent (no curriculum, explorative and process based).

Come together as a cycle loving postgraduate community to get to know each other, connect, learn, have fun, ramble in beautiful nature and eat far too much delicious food (especially chocolate!). Oh, and to deepen into Menstruality and experience the Darks Art in action.

A two year apprenticeship with Alexandra and Sjanie, learning the Dark Art skills and receiving mentoring in your MCA and/or menopause process. This is core preparation for working as a Menstruality Facilitator and guiding Menstruality Medicine Circle sessions.

Through the Red School Menstruality Foundation there are a few partial scholarships available for:

100% and 50% scholarships can be awarded for:
Menstruality Apprenticeship, Menstruality Facilitation Training and The In-Person Retreat tuition fees.
