Womens Quest News - Late Winter 2012
Newsletter Created On: 03/02/2012 20:40:05

Greetings one and all…from an icy cold and bright england. We have news about our upcoming workshopsdocumentary screenings and the next Women’s Quest Apprenticeship Training, so please read on.

We have just returned from the second residential of the Apprenticeship training. The theme was Creativity—how the creative cycle works, how to work with the menstrual cycle as means to realise our creative ambitions and ideas, and in particular how to handle that tough inner critical premenstrual voice as a crucial part of maturing who we are and what we do. We also explored the critic’s unique role within the menstrual cycle of preparing us to handle the deeper spiritual forces at menstruation. Challenging and provocative at times, it was intensely rewarding and revelatory. It felt like we broke new ground in our understanding of female power. If you are interested in the training, a new one will be starting in September – details are below.

We're  really looking forward to offering a new workshop at the Mind Body Spirit London Festival in May called The Way of the Menstrual Cycle – a spiritual path for women. Come and discover how the spiritual forces of your menstrual cycle can support and illuminate the unfolding of your life journey. Find out more.

Womb Wisdom Retreat, Feb 10–12 2012

Would you love to kick off this year with a big treat to yourself, and set a deep intention to the universe on what you’d like to achieve? Join Uma Dinsmore Tuli and Alexandra for the Womb Wisdom Retreat, there are a few places left.

Here is what one woman wrote to us very recently about last year’s retreat I attended your Womb Wisdom Retreat in Stroud last year with Uma. I have finally come down from the high of that weekend and decided to do the quest. I would like to join the community for support and encouragement”. - Helen Woods

You’ll experience Uma’s wonderfully soothing and strengthening womb yoga, and journey with Alexandra in to the deep spiritual powers of menstruation itself—our natural monthly retreat time—as a way to align with your deepest sense of yourself and your calling. And all this served up with nourishing food and great company, deep in the English countryside at Hawkwood College, Stroud. Find out more.

The Woman’s Quest Apprenticeship 2012–2013

In this 10–month program you will get a deep grounding in the healing, creative and spiritual forces of the menstrual cycle and begin to ignite your own authority and way to teach and develop this work.

Here is current student Adrienne Egan’s experience “As someone that has grappled with the ‘feminine principle’ and how to recover it to some balance in my own life, the WQAT takes the notion of the restoration of the feminine principle into a grounded embodied place. After years of trying to search for answers this training has revealed much to me, and drawn it out from within; clarity, how I operate in the world and a very clear path of what I need to do now. Practical magic!”

Voice dialogue Online Training, starting April 18th for 7 weeks

This training isn’t directly connected with the menstrual work but Voice Dialogue is such a great tool for learning to navigate your inner forces that we wanted to recommend it. You can use it to deepen into the different energies you experience in the different phases of the cycle, in particular the inner critic, that tough, challenging voice that has a way of nailing, even crippling us premenstrually. It’s a very thorough and well thought through programme. The organiser, John Kent, is one of Alexandra’s oldest friends, so we feel very confident in telling you about it.  Do check it out at this link:
